GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT COLLECT A LOT SHOP ITEMS ONLY

ITEM CONDITION:  Most Collect A Lot Shop items have had previous owners and are not brand new which is why there are many old, collectible, unique and hard to find items!  Each item will be described as accurately as possible on the website or though e-mail.  If you are interested in an item that has no description, please send me a note or e-mail.  You will not be obligated to buy the item.

ITEM AVAILABILITY:  Typically only one of each item is available for purchase, so items are sold to, or automatically held for, the first person who contacts Collect A Lot Shop by telephone or e-mail.  There are duplicates of a few items, so it doesn't hurt to ask if there are more!  Feel free to send me a note or e-mail.

If for any reason the item you have purchased is no longer available, or if Collect A Lot Shop is not able to ship the item(s) you have ordered, you will be notified immediately and a full refund will be sent to you.

ITEMS ON HOLD:  When someone inquires about an item, it is automatically put it on hold for the first person who contacts Collect A Lot Shop for a maximum of 7 days unless other arrangements are made.  Items will be held for more than 7 days upon request.

When a customer agrees to purchase an item, it will be held for a maximum of 30 days without payment unless other arrangements are made.

PRICE: If you are interested in an item that has no price listed, or if you would like to make an offer, please send me a note or e-mail.  Please include your city and zip code in the e-mail so I can send you the shipping and handling costs too.  Thanks!  You will not be obligated to buy the item.

OFFERS:  You are welcome to make an offer on any Collect A Lot Shop item whether a price is listed or not.  Please keep in mind that your offer may or may not be accepted.  Collect A Lot Shop considers the initial expense of the item, how much the item (or a similar item) is currently selling for, how much the item has sold for in the past and the price guide value if available.

PAYMENT:  Payment may be made by check or money order through the mail UPON REQUEST.  Requests for payment by mail may be denied if the total amount due is over $100.  Collect A Lot Shop will also accept a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card securely online though "PayPal" or "buy now" buttons.  PayPal will process your credit card payment for free.  PayPal account holders still have the option to pay with PayPal.  Payment buttons are usually found on the "collectibles for sale" pages of this website and sometimes on the "inventory pages."  If you are interested in purchasing an item from the "inventory pages," and there is no button, please contact me.

If you happen to have a PayPal account and you want to send your payment directly though the PayPal website (https://www.paypal.com), you can do that too.  PayPal offers even more payment options such as payment by debit card or bank account.  Use the "send money" tab on the PayPal website to send your total payment due to: collectalotshop@sbcglobal.net

SHIPPING, INSURANCE & TAX:  Items are shipped though the United States Postal Service (USPS), by Federal Express Ground or by United Parcel Service (UPS).  Both FedEx and UPS include protection against loss or damage and tracking to your door.  Most of the items shipped though the post office will have Delivery Confirmation.  Shipping and handling costs are usually not listed on the "inventory pages," so please let me know which items you are interested in purchasing and I will send you a shipping/handling estimate with no obligation to buy.  If you think the shipping cost is too high, please send me your zip code and I will check to see if the item can be shipped to you for less.  If you decide to purchase more than one item, you can save on shipping, so you may want to e-mail your full order before you buy.

Insurance though the post office is an additional $1.65 for packages valued up to $50.00.  If you purchase items on the "collectibles for sale pages, insurance may or may not be included in the handling charge.  Insurance is usually added to more expensive or very fragile items.  Either way your satisfaction is important, so if you purchase an item and the item arrives broken or damaged, please e-mail me right away.  Also, please keep the box and all packaging along with the broken item so Collect A Lot Shop can file a claim with the shipping company if they are responsible for the damage.

Tax - Ohio residents also pay their county's calculated sales tax.  If you live in Ohio, please send me your order.

PACKAGING:  Items are packed with plenty of bubble wrap and surrounded with foam peanuts before shipping.  Extremely valuable items are double boxed and wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap.  Previously customers have been very pleased with how their items were packaged.  Please visit the Satisfied Customers page.

RETURN POLICY:  Your satisfaction is important to me, so if you are not happy with your purchase, please contact Collect A Lot Shop right away to notify me.  You may ship your item back within 45 days from the date of purchase and you will receive a full refund minus shipping and handling costs.  If the item being returned is valued at or above $24, it must be returned insured (USPS) or financially protected against loss or damage (up to $100 of protection is free with UPS or FEDEX, but value must be written on shipping document).

If the item arrives broken and it was not insured or financially protected, you will not receive a refund.  All shipping, handling and insurance costs to return the item are non-refundable.  You must be able to provide proof of shipment upon request, so please keep your shipping receipt.

WHAT COUNTRIES WILL COLLECT A LOT SHOP SHIP TO?:  MOST items can be shipped worldwide, but shipping costs will be higher for countries outside of the United States.  Many international packages cannot be insured, so Collect A Lot Shop will not ship extremely breakable or valuable items to an address outside the USA unless the item can be insured or the buyer assumes the risk.  If Collect A Lot Shop does agree to ship an item to another country, Collect A Lot Shop cannot be responsible if the package is lost or damaged by the post office.  Proof of shipment will be provided upon request.  I will be happy to let you know if the item you are interested in can or cannot be shipped outside the USA - please send an e-mail to: collectalotshop@sbcglobal.net.  Packages will be marked "merchandise," so buyers will be responsible for paying any owed duties or taxes when the package arrives.
